It’s the countdown to the week of Halloween in St Augustine. So do you have your costume yet?  There are so many Halloween Parties in St Augustine. From Saturday, October 26 through Thursday, October 31, you’ll find all kinds of Halloween fun. Check our music listing below for all the parties that we could find for you.

 St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival features the very best in Spanish foods and wines presented at a variety of special events and restaurants. Wed & Thurs, Oct. 23 & 24: Private wine tastings at various outstanding St. Augustine restaurants; Friday, Oct. 25: Cava Reception and Wine Dinner at the beautiful River House; and Sat, Oct. 26: Grand Tasting at the Visitor Information Center. On Friday, Oct 258pm @ . ‘It’s About Time’ by St. Augustine Orchestra –  Classical pieces with a “time” theme will be performed by the St. Augustine Orchestra at the Lightner Museum. On Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27, 2013 you don’t want to miss the Fiesta de Aviles and Running of the Bulls along Aviles Street downtown. The Running of the Bulls will begin at 3 p.m. Oct. 26, with a special guest “bull” (a human in costume) in a short race down Aviles Street against children and adults. Gift certificates offered by the local merchants will serve as prizes. Featured music includes Luis Mario Peral and his Latin Jazz; Lonesome Bert and the Skinny Lizards; and James and Sylvia Kalal. Sunday will feature “Sangria Sunday,” where the Aviles Street merchants (restaurants and galleries) will compete for the best sangria on the street. Tasting and voting will be by the general public and there will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic samples.

 

Also on Saturday & Sunday from 9am – 10pm daily is the St. Augustine Maritime Heritage Festival at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. With fun like the quick and dirty boat building competition, book signings, kid zone, old city maritime bar tending challenge, beer and wine tent and more. Tickets are Adults $12; Seniors (60+) $11; Children 6-12 $8; Children 5 and under and St. John’s County residents are free.
