At the St Augustine Amphitheater and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall:

Thursday, March 6 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall –  Carolina Chocolate Drops –  The Carolina Chocolate Drops got their start in 2005, when every Thursday night they would travel to sit in the home of old-time fiddler Joe Thompson for a musical jam session. When the three students decided to form a band, they didn’t have big plans. With their 2010 Nonesuch debut, Genuine Negro Jig—which garnered a Best Traditional Folk Album Grammy last year—the Carolina Chocolate Drops proved that the old-time, fiddle and banjo-based music they’d so scrupulously researched and passionately performed could be a living, breathing, ever-evolving sound.         Doors 7:00 PM | Show starts @ 8:00PM

Saturday, March 8 – St. Augustine Amphitheater – Steve Miller Band – The Steve Miller Band has sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning more than 40 years. The band has released two albums in the past few years including the No. 1 blues album, “Bingo,” and its successor, “Let Your Hair Down,” which was the first new Steve Miller Band album in 18 years. Steve Miller Band was a cornerstone of the burgeoning underground FM rock radio stations that were springing up across the country.    Gates 5:30 PM | Show starts @ 7:00PM

1 response to “Live Music & Nightlife Schedule for March 3rd – March 9th – 2014 in St Augustine FL”

  1. Hello ya’ll…

I’m Art (SAHS ’74 and SJRJC ’75, Gator alumni, USAF and now NASA) I’m trying to convince you I’m a real original local! Though I now work at Kennedy Space Center…

I’m part of a musical duet, (Minimumwake) and we play exclusively in Cocoa, Rockledge, Cape Canaveral and Melbourne and being all of my family lives in St. Augustine we’re having a big family get-togather at the Shriners Club on Moultrie Creek on April 19 (Saturday) afternoon.

The family has asked whether we could travel & play for our the reunion. Well, to cover some of costs and NOT ask for family donations we’d like to book a one time evening “gig” at a nice place in town.

I no longer have any real connections as many places have changed hands over the years and having read your webpage I thought this would be a person who’d know of a venue! I will ask the cousins as well but, …I don’t want to rely on that.

Our website has photos and some info, it’s having current recordings added …slowly. We perform many originals that compare to James Taylor, Dave Mathews and we do covers of “the Cure, the Church, P. Floyd, the Who, John Prine, R.E.M, Pearl Jam” and others…

If you can recommed a venue and a contact I’d be most tickled! And visit my family nursery on SR 16 (Art’s Nursery) tell them I sent you and they’ll give you a nice hanging basket! Have a super day! Art -jr
