Live Music & Nightlife Schedule for March 31st – April 6th 2014 in St Augustine FL

It’s time for my favorite festival in Saint Augustine. Rhythm & Ribs. With acts like Sister Hazel, & Delbert McClinton you really can’t go wrong. There are also local favorites, Salt Driven Ride, Grapes of Roth, The Wobbly Toms, Lonesome Bert and the Skinny Lizards, Emma Moseley Band, The Red River Band and more. To top it all off… the food is really great!  Many charities benefit from the funds raised by the festival. So, go do something good for yourself and some really fine charities.  But… that’s not all that we have going on…. Music, Food and Movies at the World Golf Village Food Truck Rally. Trucks attending this rally include Kona Ice of Jax, Le Petite Cupcakery, Gourmet Aviator, Mama’s Food, Cravingz Mobile Kitchen, Blue Pacific Grill & Taco Bar, The Cat’s Meow, and Fusion. Entertainment will be provided by the Charlie Walker Band. Steve Hackett, Jesse Cook and The Robert Cray Band will be at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall this week as well. Ahh.. ya gotta love Spring in St. Augustine!

Vilano Beach / Old Town St Augustine / The Island (Anastasia Island)

At the St Augustine Amphitheater and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall:

Friday, April 4 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall –  Steve Hackett –  Steve Hackett is renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician. He was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up with Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford, that produced acclaimed albums such as Selling England by the Pound (a favourite of John Lennon). Steve’s live electric gigs take his fans on an extraordinary journey drawn from a rich musical heritage. Perennial Genesis favourites such as the mighty Firth Of Fifth sit alongside solo classics, while more recent material, with much of Out Of The Tunnel’s Mouth and Beyond the Shrouded Horizon now included, demonstrate that Steve is an artist still at the very top of his game. Supported by some of the best musicians on the planet, Steve’s unique guitar work remains the fulcrum on which this challenging and exhilarating show is balanced. Gates 7:30 PM | Show starts @ 8:30PM

Sunday, March 23 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – Jesse Cook – Award winning Toronto based guitarist Jesse Cook mixes funky jazz, Latin and world music into his live performances. Cook’s successes include the release of eight studio albums internationally over his career. He is a three-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz Award for “Guitarist of the Year”, while also being a JUNO Award-winning performer. Jesse has sold over one million albums worldwide, making him truly a global artist.                   Doors 7:00 PM | Show starts @ 8:00PM

Sunday, March 23 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – The Robert Cray Band – The five-time Grammy Award winner summarized 35 years of mastery on the debut Nozzle release Live From Across the Pond (2006), an electrifying two-CD concert set drawn from a series of shows (opening for Eric Clapton) at London’s Royal Albert Hall. When the time came to follow up that widely praised collection with a studio recording, Cray viewed it as an opportunity to move his sound in other directions.               Doors 7:00 PM | Show starts @ 8:00PM
