At the St Augustine Amphitheater, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and Colonial Quarter Stage:
Wednesday, November 12 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – Tab Benoit with Devon Allman Band – Known for his signature “Bayou Blues” sound, Tab Benoit is Louisiana’s No. 1 roots export. More than just an acclaimed bluesman, he is an indefatigable conservation advocate. Benoit is a driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to save Louisiana’s wetlands. In 2010, he received the Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina’s effects and a call to restore the wetlands. Benoit was inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2010 at the LMHOF Louisiana Music Homecoming in Erwinville, Louisiana. Doors 7:00PM | Starts 8:00PM
Friday, November 14 – Colonial Quarter Stage – The “Local Honey” Free Local Artist Showcase – The St. Johns Cultural Events Division and St. Johns Cultural Council proudly present the “Local Honey” free local artist showcase at the Colonial Quarter in downtown St. Augustine on Friday, November 14. This showcase, a part of the Sing Out Loud Series, is free and open to the public. In a celebration of the many talented musicians that reside here in St. Augustine, the St. Johns Cultural Events Division and St. Johns Cultural Council partnered with the Local Honey music project, founded by Amy Hendrickson, to present an evening of free performances by eight local singer-songwriters. The “Local Honey” Free Local Artist Showcase at the Colonial Quarter will feature performances by Lucio Rubino, Chelsea Saddler, Colton McKenna, Sam Pacetti, The Willowwacks, Joe Schauer, Jon Bailey and Amy Hendrickson. This showcase is very unique not only its lineup but in progressive performance nature. As one artist ends their performance, the next artist will join them on stage in a continuation and collaboration of music. Doors 6:00PM | Starts 7:00PM
Friday, November 14 – St. Augustine Amphitheatre – O.A.R. with Andy Grammer – Classic American author Thomas Wolfe famously stated “you can’t go home again,” but don’t tell that to the members of O.A.R. on their eighth studio album, THE ROCKVILLE LP, the shape-shifting rock band found that returning home triggered a journey of creative renewal and inspiration. For the first time in a while, the band found that visiting their Maryland hometown gave them a sense of peace. For years, they had been pushing themselves to reach new levels of success, searching for their place in the world. We’ve been hanging out, enjoying life, letting things go…The whole album is about a reboot.” THE ROCKVILLE LP, which was recorded in Nashville, Bethesda, Md., and Brooklyn, N.Y., features some of O.A.R.’s most diverse, intricate songs to date. Doors 5:30PM | Starts 7:00PM
Friday, November 14 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – Ricky Nelson Remembered Starring Matthew & Gunnar Nelson – He is the only artist to have a No. 1 song, No. 1 movie and No. 1 TV show in the same week. Life Magazine coined the phrase ‘Teen Idol’ after him and he is credited with pioneering the country rock sound. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Nelson’s life and music touched millions; his twin sons, multi-platinum recording artists in their own right, relive the music and memories in their multi-media event, Ricky Nelson Remembered Starring Matthew & Gunnar Nelson. Doors 7:00PM | Starts 8:00PM
Saturday, November 15 – Colonial Quarter Stage – Justin Townes Earle with Cory Branan – Once compared to a man who wears many suits, in 32 short years Justin Townes Earle has experienced more than most, both personally and professionally. Between releasing four full-length-critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, multiple stints in rehab, a new found sobriety, being born Steve Earle’s son, amicable and not-so-amicable break-ups with record labels, and facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life, it’s safe to say JTE has quite the story to tell. His fifth album Single Mothers serves as the perfect platform for such narrations. Doors 7:00PM | Starts 8:00PM
Sunday, November 16 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – The Florida Chamber Music Project presents “Delius & Schumann – “A Day for Delius” The afternoon celebration for the 130th anniversary of composer Frederick Delius’ time in St. Johns County, Fla., is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., and conclude at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge and doors will open at noon. The English-born Delius spent 1884-1886 in an area west of St. Augustine, known now as Picolata, as the manager of Solano Grove. The festival event consists of an original one-act play written and performed by local actor Jason Woods. A small group of African-American singers who will perform the spirituals and songs of the time that greatly influenced Delius’ music will accompany Woods. The “Song of Summer” film, the story of Delius’ later years, will also be shown. An exhibit of present-day Solano Grove photos by noted filmmaker Elam Stoltzfus as well as artifacts from the Jacksonville Public Library’s Delius Collection will be on display in the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for viewing by attendees beginning at noon. The Florida Chamber Music Project will finish the day with a concert featuring Delius’ String Quartet in E minor, Schumann’s Quartet No. 3 in A Major (beginning at 3 p.m.) and there will be a post-concert reception to meet the musicians and view the Delius exhibit. Doors 12:00PM | Starts 1:00PM
