Music by the Sea this week sounds to be a really fun time on Wednesday. Beach music with Jimmy Parrish & the Ocean Waves with food from Mango Mangos. Sounds like a fantastic time. Lots of great music at the St Augustine Amphitheatre this week with the Soulshine Tour starting it off tomorrow.  I’ll be looking for a nice cool bar with some great beers to hang out in. I’ll see you there!

Matt Nathanson has long been a fan favorite with his vivid songwriting, infectious melodies and dynamic live shows. His latest album LAST OF THE GREAT PRETENDERS has been hailed as the ‘Album of the Week’ by USA Today adding “he has a way of drawing people into his stories.” The album features the song “Heart Starts,” the catchy theme to Lifetime’s Series Celebrity Bucket List – of which Nathanson was recently featured – as well as the hit single “Kinks Shirt which continues to climb on the HAC chart and is also being heard on America’s Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, The Billy Bush Show and Rick Dee’s Countdown.                    Gates 5:00 PM | Show starts @ 6:00PM

Saturday, August 02 – Saint Augustine Amphitheatre – Dirty Heads & Pepper with special guest AER and Katastro  – Huntington Beach’s Dirty Heads mix hip-hop, reggae, and rock along with that laid-back, South Cali attitude. The group formed in 2003 when punk rocker Dustin Bushnell asked his friend, rapper Jared Watson to collaborate on a project that would focus on positive vibes and infectious grooves. Watson added singing to his vocal skills, and with percussionist Jon Olazabal joining, an acoustic-trio-version of Dirty Heads began playing shows and building an audience. their debut album featured one of the decade’s biggest rock singles, “Lay Me Down” which spent eleven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Chart, a record for an independent release and more than any single that year.

Although Pepper’s members are originally from Kona, Hawaii, the trio doesn’t play traditional Hawaiian music. Rather, Pepper’s music is a melodic and accessible blend of alternative pop/rock, punk, and reggae. Formed in 1996, Pepper is hardly the only alt-rock combo inspired by Jamaican sounds. Since the band’s formation they have released five studio albums as well as one live album.               Gates 4:30 PM | Show starts @ 5:30PM
