The kids are back in school, the streets are a bit quieter, but the bars in this town are rockin’.  Just a couple of weeks and we’ll be back in the fair and festival season. Tuesday, August 19 – Saint Augustine Amphitheatre – The Summer National Tour Feat: The Offspring with Bad Religion, Pennywise and Stiff Little Fingers – In 1994, Epitaph Records sponsored Summer Nationals, selling out three days at the Hollywood Palladium. The rising tide of California punk bands were brought together with their swelling legion of fans into one sweaty mass of zeitgeist. The Offspring, having just released the seminal album Smash, lead the way alongside Bad Religion and Pennywise and Stiff Little Fingers.
Those same headliners will join together for the first time since that memorable moment and bring the event across North America. Starting in late July through the end of Summer, the trio, along with other bands on select dates including Stiff Little Fingers and SoCal punk buds The Vandals, will hit the road for Summer Nationals 2014. The Offspring with Bad Religion and Pennywise will perform at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Tuesday, August 19.             Gates 4:30PM | Starts 5:30PM

 

Friday, August 22 – Saint Augustine Amphitheatre – The Fresh Beat Band: Greatest Hits Live – The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon’s popular preschool music group and stars of the hit TV series of the same name, have added cities by popular demand to their enormously successful 2013 tour.  Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Shout (Thomas Hobson), Marina (Tara Perry), and Twist (Jon Beavers) will perform The Fresh Beat Band hits from seasons one, two and three of the live-action music series that teaches preschoolers about music appreciation and how to express their feelings through movement, song and instrumental music.            Gates 5:00PM | Starts 6:30PM

 

Saturday, August 23 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – “Elvis – The Show” Featuring Randy Elvis Walker, The Memories 9 Piece Orchestra and Special Guest Performer Dee Brown Known widely as Florida’s voice of Elvis, RandyElvis has excited stages internationally with his Tribute to the King of Rock & Roll. His electrifying, energetic, exciting and interactive shows bring back memories of “The King of Rock & Roll” in his performances as Elvis.
