Live Music & Nightlife Schedule for April 14th – April 20th in St Augustine FL

Oh My, Oh My, Oh My! Looks like another great week for music, food and fun in Saint Augustine. I do love this town for all of the wonderful entertainment that we get to enjoy here. This week we have The Goo Goo Dolls at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Darius Rucker at the Amphitheater and Grandpa’s Cough Medicine is on state at the 10th Annual Bartram Bash and Earth Day Event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 19 at Alpine Groves Park, 2060 State Road 13 N., in Switzerland, located on the William Bartram Scenic and Historic Highway.  Follow this link for more information.

It’s Easter weekend so don’t miss the Easter Parade and Promenade on Sunday which starts at 12:30 p.m. promenade in the Plaza de la Constitucion, between King Street and Cathedral Place.  The following weekend is the taste of Saint Augustine so get ready for some great eats next week. We’ll tell you more about that in the next installment of Music & Nightlife!   Have a great week and don’t forget to let us know if we’re missing your favorite place in town and we’ll do what we can to get them listed!

Vilano Beach / Old Town St Augustine / The Island (Anastasia Island)

At the St Augustine Amphitheater and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall:

Thursday, April 17 – Ponte Vedra Concert Hall – Goo Goo Dolls – The Otis Midnight Sessions – An Evening of Acoustic Music with special guests Run River North – The shows will be performed in a “Story Tellers” format that enables the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band to dig deep into an extensive song catalog spanning their nearly 30-year history. It also offers a rare opportunity for fans to see them perform in more intimate settings than the Goos normally visit on their many live treks.                   7:00 PM | Show starts @ 8:00PM

Saturday, April 19 – Saint Augustine Amphitheatre –  Darius Rucker with Eli Young Band & Corey Smith – SOLD OUT – Rucker, who first attained multi-platinum status as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, wrote ten of the twelve tracks on True Believers – ranging from his current single, the feel-good, sing-along, “Radio” to the sophisticated narrative of “Shine.” He expresses special pride in the raw and realistic sentiments of songs like “Miss You” and “I Will Love You Still,” a duet with young powerhouse vocalist Mallary Hope. The two songs Rucker didn’t have a hand in writing are both major events of their own. “Love Without You” features Sheryl Crow, with whom Rucker had wanted to record ever since they sang together at a VH1 function almost twenty years ago. For his version of the popular Old Crow Medicine Show song “Wagon Wheel,” initially based on a sketch by Bob Dylan, Rucker, never expecting them to say yes, invited his tour partners and Capitol Records labelmates Lady Antebellum into the studio. When they came in for a session, Rucker says, “they took the whole song three steps up.” The single became his sixth No. 1 single.             Gates 5:30 PM | Show starts @ 6:30PM
